The Tritone
was the flagship of the Riva range in the 1950s, an elegant and versatile
twin-engine boat that achieved great success and marked the history of the
brand, also thanks to famous owners and cinematic appearances.
Over the
years, Riva offered an alternative model, introducing an innovative
modification that soon became highly sought after, the sunbathing area on the
aft deck, a detail that anticipated the design of the Aquarama.
By
incorporating this novelty into the Tritone's offering, it was decided to
distinguish it by naming it "Aperto".
Only twenty
examples were produced with the sunbathing area as standard and were indeed
called Tritone Aperto.
Riva
Classiche is offering for sale one of the only seven Tritone Aperto built in
1962, a very rare model.
The boat
has already undergone a restoration previously and is still in excellent
condition.
It has been
re-engined with two Chrysler engines of 240 hp each.
The boat
features some customizations made by the owner to make its use more
comfortable, but without altering its image and style (more information
available upon request).
The boat is
available for viewing, by appointment, at Riva Classiche, in Sarnico, on Lake
Iseo.
